Description
A CIA operative assigned to Major Kusanagi's Section 9 special investigation/specops unit (SIU), Nikki 'Sherman' Abrams is a full-body prosthetic cyborg like Motoko.
She excels in H2H combat, disguise and infiltration, and she enjoys a friendly rivalry with Major Kusanagi.
Motoko is the 'faceman' (lead undercover/infilitration operative) for the Section 9 SIU, and is backed up by a direct action team (Bato etc.) and other support units (like the Tachikoma spider tanks). Nikki provides the SIU with a second 'faceman' around which to form another specops team, offering Section 9 greater operational flexibility in dealing with cybernetic arms proliferators, ultranationalist military plotters, cyberassassin cells, ghost hacking syndicates, yakuza human traffickers and other exotic threats.
