There was a time long ago when Spider-Woman, instead of being the Avengers' resident pointless T&A and sloppy seconds, was an accomplished secret agent, assassin, detective and mistress of disguise (on par with DC's Black Orchid before Neil Gaiman got to her). You'd think they'd pick up on small things like that when using a beloved and sexy character, no?
It's not a possession, she's simply slipping on a disguise like a new set of clothes.
